B2B cross-border settlement for SADC

SADC settlement in minutes, without the nostro tax.

Bankserv and country RTGS make settlement across SADC slow and batch based. Even a payment between two banks across two SADC countries takes days and forces prefunded nostro accounts. SwapEazi settles on stablecoin rails in near real time, with licensed partners handling the regulated fiat legs. We route the payment and never hold your funds. One API, corridors in both directions.

The highest value corridor flow

The trader buying stock in Johannesburg, paying the wholesaler direct.

Across the region, informal cross border traders buy their inventory in South Africa. A shop owner in Lusaka, Harare or Blantyre restocks from Johannesburg wholesalers and cash and carry warehouses, then sells at home. Today most of them carry physical cash on a coach or a bus to pay for that stock, because cash is the only thing they trust to arrive as goods.

SwapEazi lets the trader fund the purchase from stablecoin and settle the supplier in rand, into a South African bank account, without the bus and without the risk of carrying money across a border. Larger tickets, higher frequency, and a clear purpose make this the most valuable flow on the rail.

Why it matters
  • Replaces cash carried on coaches and buses, which is slow, risky, and easily lost.
  • Higher value and more frequent than family remittances, so revenue per user is larger.
  • A clear, machine readable purpose (trade_supplier) that an AI purchasing agent can pass.

Today the supplier is paid in cash to their SA account through our licensed off-ramp, Kotani Pay (FSCA CASP FSP 53594). Settling straight to the wholesaler as purpose settlement is on our roadmap.
